About the role
The Principal Network Architect designs high-performance data center networking and fiber connectivity solutions — from 400G/800G spine-leaf fabrics to carrier connectivity, DCI, and cloud on-ramps — for CloudData.Center's enterprise and hyperscale clients.
What you will do
- Lead network architecture design for AI data center and cloud interconnection engagements
- Design spine-leaf switching fabrics using 400G/800G Ethernet (Cisco Nexus, Arista, Juniper QFX)
- Architect DCI (Data Center Interconnect) solutions using DWDM/OTN and carrier fiber
- Design carrier connectivity: BGP routing, MPLS, cloud on-ramps (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, Google Interconnect)
- Evaluate and recommend structured cabling and fiber infrastructure for high-density AI environments
- Develop network security architecture: microsegmentation, firewall zoning, and access control
- Author low-level design documents and network specifications for client projects
- Support network commissioning, testing, and handover to operations teams
What we need
- 10+ years in data center networking or carrier network architecture
- Deep expertise in spine-leaf architecture and 400G/800G data center fabrics
- Strong BGP, MPLS, and carrier routing protocol expertise
- Experience with DCI technologies: DWDM, OTN, and carrier dark fiber
- Cisco CCIE (Data Center or Service Provider) or Juniper JNCIE preferred
Nice to have
- Experience with InfiniBand networking for AI GPU clusters
- Familiarity with cloud on-ramp connectivity and SD-WAN integration
