About the role
The Critical Facilities Engineer performs preventive and corrective maintenance on data center MEP systems, monitors facility operations, and responds to critical incidents for CloudData.Center managed facility clients.
What you will do
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on UPS systems, generators, CRAC/CRAH units, and electrical distribution
- Monitor DCIM, BMS, and EPMS platforms for anomalies and proactive issue resolution
- Execute ITSM-based change management: circuit changes, equipment moves, and capacity changes
- Perform remote hands services for client equipment installation, cabling, and troubleshooting
- Respond to facility incidents: power events, thermal excursions, and equipment failures
- Maintain accurate facility records: as-built drawings, maintenance logs, and spare parts inventory
- Support commissioning and acceptance testing for new facility buildouts
What we need
- 4+ years in critical facility operations, data center engineering, or MEP maintenance
- Hands-on experience with UPS, generators, CRAC/CRAH, and electrical distribution systems
- Familiarity with DCIM and BMS monitoring platforms
- Electrical or mechanical trade certification preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operations environment
Nice to have
- CDCP credential
- Experience with liquid cooling systems (CDUs, direct-to-chip circuits)
